Rachael’s Story:

I’m walking 100Km this May with a group of marvellous mums who at some point in their lives have been supported by the amazing family support team at The Door

I’m doing it because before lockdown I was really self-conscious about walking alone and with others because I was overweight, people would shout at me and say mean things. Then in lockdown I didn’t go out at all,
I couldn’t face walking on my own. When the world opened up I started using a taxi, and I still do but with the support of the other mums I feel more confident and sometimes I can walk in to town on my own.

I’m hoping with the motivation of walking 100km and with the support of the other mums I want to be less anxious and more positive about walking

Thank you so much for supporting The Door, every pound will go straight to where is is most needed helping give safe spaces and bring hope to young people and their families in Stroud and beyond.

Kind2Mind Thank you!
