On Tuesday 30th November 2021, the stage was set for another great evening of celebrations. Looking back at not only the last 12 months but also the last 30 years of everything Door.

The Golden Hinge Awards recognise young people, parents, volunteers, staff and stakeholders who have made a significant difference over the last year. Whether in their own lives, the lives of others or the life of The Door.

With over 100 nominations choosing this year’s winners was no easy task! But here are this year’s winners:

Category 1: Significant Progress
Shanice, Summer, Rhi, Sophie, Asil, Libby, Viki, Racheal, Kirsty, Emma and Hayley

Category 2: Significant Contribution
Willow, Sandra, Marion, Tessa, Conner, Niamh, Natasha, Kate, Chantelle

Category 3: Significant Impact in the Community
Abi, Kitsch, Mark

During the evening, Sarah Scott (Director of Public Health Gloucestershire) and Jayne Darlington (CHK) talked about the importance of supporting young people with ACE’s and the positive impact of early intervention. Such as the services provided by The Door.

Bishop Rachel of Gloucester brought the evening to a close in Prayer
