Programme Manager – Transition Project

The Door Youth Project, Stroud

Average of 12 hours per week.  34 week fixed term contract.  Immediate start.

Salary:  £11.49 to £13.11 per hour

The Door is a Christian youth charity, established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families.  It’s a place where every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential.

We are currently looking for someone with experience of designing and delivering training programmes in an educational setting to set up and manage an early intervention programme for Year 6 pupils whose mental health is being compromised by upcoming transition to secondary school.

You would be responsible for liaison with schools and health and social care professionals, developing the programme content, delivering it in a number of settings across Gloucestershire, managing sub-contractors as required, and evaluating and reporting on the project.

You should have an awareness of the issues facing vulnerable young people and the ability to communicate well with both adults and young people and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, plus a full driving licence and the flexibility to adhere to the time commitments of the programme.  Project management experience is highly desirable.

Closing date:  Friday 15 February

Interview date: Thursday 21 February
