The Door Is Hiring – Service Delivery Director, Stroud

Based at The Door Youth Project Offices in Stroud with the option for hybrid working.
Full time, 37 hours per week
£39,751 – £44,783 p.a. (aligned with JNC scale points 23 – 28)

The Door is a Christian youth charity, established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families.  It’s a place where every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential.

With our services increasingly in demand, we’ve created a brand new role of Service Delivery Director, offering an exciting and unusual opportunity for an experienced professional to join our vibrant, award-winning team and be at the heart of this dynamic organisation.

You would direct our Service Delivery Team, which incorporates our Youthwork and Intensive Support departments, providing them with leadership so that in all areas where The Door is delivering services, the needs of young people, their parents and the wider community are met.  You’d be responsible for setting the direction and climate of the team, ensuring that The Door’s Christian ethos is maintained throughout our services.  You’d also oversee Illuminate – the Christian outreach strand of our youthwork.  Consequently there is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian.

You should have a JNC or similar professional qualification or significant professional experience, and a full driving licence with your own transport.
