Sessional Youthworker

Part-time, flexible hours
£9.70 – 10.23 per hour

The Door is a Christian youth charity. Established in 1991 in Stroud, Gloucestershire for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families.  It’s a place where every young person and their parents can feel safe, happy and valued. With the best possible opportunity to reach their potential. 

We are currently looking for youthworkers to join our team and assist our Community Youthwork Coordinators in running both indoor youthwork sessions and detached / street-based youthwork across the Stroud District.  Duties of the role include contributing to the planning and delivery of our comprehensive needs-based youthwork programme. Full training is provided, as well as ongoing support and commitment to your personal growth and development in the role.

Experience of working with young people in a youthwork setting or similar will be an advantage as will an awareness of the issues facing young people today. While experience is preferred, we are also very keen to hear from applicants who are committed, passionate and dedicated to being an outstanding role model, eager to engage and support young people.

You will need to be available for late afternoon and evening sessions.  Access to your own transport so you can easily access all our venues across the Stroud District is preferred but not essential.
