COVID-19 – UPDATE – THE DOOR – 25TH MARCH

At The Door we are committed to continuing to provide the best possible service to young people and their families during the developing situation with COVID-19, whilst assessing the potential risks and maintaining personal safety as our key priority.

In line with government guidance, all are youth clubs are currently CLOSED until further notice.  However, we have taken our youthwork services online, and our youthworkers in Stroud, Stonehouse, Cam/Dursley and Wotton are now delivering regular broadcasts to their young people entitled TheDoorAtFour, with young people also able to book in 15 minute chats with their youthworkers through our website at thedoor.org.uk/bookings.   For up-to-date information please be sure to keep following our social media accounts and our website @TheDoorStroud and thedoor.org.uk

illuminateStroud has also closed its doors, but we are posting daily reflections and prayers on social media, and have created two weekly online groups at 1:30pm on Wednesday and 6:30pm on Friday. In these young people can connect together and explore where God is at work during these unprecedented times. Follow @illuminatestroud or go to illuminatestroud.org.uk to sign up and join in the conversation.

Also despite the cessation of face-to-face contact, our family support and mentoring activities are continuing, with our support workers and volunteer mentors continuing their relationships by phone and video calls. To find our more or to request a call from the team call our admin team on 01453 756745

Our offices and The Door Charity Shop are now also CLOSED until further notice, but you can still get in touch with us on our usual number 01453 756745 (Mon-Fri 9-5) or by email to info@thedoor.org.uk. There’s also plenty of great deals to find in our ebay store at thedoor.org.uk/ebay

We will continue to monitor this rapidly-developing situation, and update our position as government advice changes.
