At this year’s Christmas Presence (organised in partnership with Ignition Gloucestershire) The Door’s Patron Mary-Jess returned to Stroud with a selection of festive numbers from her new Album ‘Prayer to a snowflake’. Traditional carols such as in the bleak midwinter, new pieces including ‘I Fell In Love With A Snowman’, a Chinese tune called Spring Ballet and even Frozen’s ‘Let It Go’ which she performed in English and Chinese combined!

Mary-Jess and was joined on stage by local singer Tazmin Barnes who performed her version of Lady Gaga’s ‘Million Reasons’ and joined Mary-Jess in a duet of a beautiful new arrangement of Walking in the air.

The concert also included an opportunity for the audience to join in with a selection of sing along carols accompanied by the brilliant Cotswold Community Orchesta conducted by Katrina Wyndow.
The Door would like to thank Murrays Estate Agents, Snow Business and HRML for sponsoring the event, Tesco Stroud, Baking Daze and Bottle Green for the refreshments and New Day AV for the superb lighting and audio.
Thankyou also to all those that donated prizes to the raffle: Arbonne, The Painswick, KB Holistic Massage, The Courtyard Café, and Forest Green Rovers.
