What will you discover on your way to 100k this May?

Whether you are running 3km a day, riding 30km each weekend, swimming before work or walking the dog after dinner all we ask is you reach 100km (or you own even bigger target!), in the 31 days in May. Then get sponsored so that every step, stride, stroke and pedal is raising vital funds to keep The Door open for vulnerable young people and families. The funds you raise will go straight to where they are most needed within The Door to provide safe spaces, positive role models and above all hope for the future.

Entry is free and there are no fundraising targets, so you can do your fundraising on your terms. We can’t wait for you to join us so what are you waiting for? Best foot forwards and off we go! (All ages and abilities welcome)

No, how you make your way to 100km is up to you, we’re suggesting running, jogging, walking or cycling but you could scoot, skateboard or even unicycle. Use your imagination and most importantly have fun!

No, the goal is to do the 100km over the month of May. It is up to you how you take on this challenge; you can start with smaller distances and work your way up or stick to the same distance each day. It’s up to you.

There’s a couple options, many smart phones now include a steps tracker or you can use free apps such as Strava to record your daily distance. We will also send everyone that registers a pack which includes a page to print and write down your daily totals.  Don’t forget to post in the Facebook Group too and let us know how you’re doing!

As part of this challenge, you will be asked to set up a 100K in May Fundraiser for The Door. This is the best place to post your distances weekly or after every run depending on your preference. These pages are linked to The Door and we’ll be able to see your progress.

Visit  https://www.facebook.com/fund/TheDoorStroud/ and follow the instructions. Be sure to add #100KinMay or #KeepTheDoorOpen  in your page title so we can easily find you and make really really sure the end date is set after 1st June 2024!

Yes of course! We know not everyone does every type or even any social media. If you would like to take part but don’t have access to Facebook simply register using the form above and we will send you details of alternative fundraising platforms. You can also call Anne on 01453 756745 and she will be able to help.

Of course! Don’t let us stand in your way, setting a goal of 100km and then exceeding that goal would be fantastic! (Don’t overdo it though!)

Once you have signed up you will receive a confirmation email, then within a few days The Door’s fundraising team will be in touch with your welcome pack!

Details of how to make the most of your challenge, help with registering your fundraising page, a page to print out for recording your daily distances, details of how the money you are raising will be helping vulnerable young people and their families and a wonderful letter from our Directors
