Senior Youth Worker
Full Time – 37 Hours Per Week
£16.56 – £18.04 per hour
Based at The Pod Youth Centre in Stonehouse

A Christian youth charity based in Gloucestershire, The Door was established in 1991 for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 It’s a place where every young person can feel safe, happy and valued, with the best possible opportunity to reach their potential.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated individual to join our award-winning youth work team as a Senior Youth Worker for Stonehouse.
In this role you will lead, develop, and deliver high-quality youth work programmes in dedicated youth centres, outdoor spaces and local schools that empower young people, meet their needs and strengthen community cohesion based around The Pod Youth Centre.
You will also supervise other youth work staff and volunteers, contribute to strategic planning, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure services are innovative, evidence-based and meet organisational objectives.
Experience of working with young people in a youth work setting or similar and an awareness of the issues facing young people today is a must as well as experience collaborating with stakeholders, supervising staff and managing volunteer teams.
Ongoing training is provided, as is support and commitment to your personal growth and development in the role.
You will need to have your own transport to enable you to work across multiple youth club locations, particularly in Stroud, Stonehouse, Cam, Dursley, Cirencester, Fairford & Lechlade. Travel expenses are paid when working away from your usual centre.
This role is full time but applications for 0.6fte or more will be considered.
Following receipt of your application, you may be invited for an interview and youth club taster session, in which case your references will be taken up.

Retail Volunteer
The Door Shop needs you! Come and volunteer in our independent charity shop at the top of Stroud High Street.
Meet new friends, learn new skills and gain confidence in a fun and relaxed environment – full training is provided.
Applicants should be aged 14 years or over and be able to work independently without supervision. A DBS check will be completed as part of the application process for anyone aged 16 or over.
Days and Times available:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 1pm-2:30pm
Tuesdays 8am – 1pm (Online sales only)
Saturdays 10am-2pm
