Bringing together not one but three fabulous singing groups the Sound of Summer is set to be a superb evening of entertainment.

The evening will include performances from The Whiteshill & Ruscombe community choir, The Tuesday’s & The Cheltones and The Rosary Primary School choir.

All of whom will be entertaining us with a selection of their own repertoire and also joining together for some very exciting group pieces.

These local singing groups have come together to create a truely unique evening, filled with familiar favourites across an array of musical styles. The evening’s programme includes music from Louis Armstrong, Leonard Bernstein and Gershwin to Simon & Garfunkel, Muse and even ABBA!

The concert is raising much-needed funds for local youth and families charity, The Door. Which provides safe spaces and positive role models across the Stroud district and south Cotswolds.

Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7pm start on Friday 30th June at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Beeches Green, Stroud.

“There’s nothing quite like the sound of massed voices to lift the soul” Says choir leader Lucas Bailey (Front Centre) “and it’s brilliant to be able to bring so many singers together for such a great cause. The church provides wonderful acoustics, which paired with a warm summer evening, tasty refreshments and plenty of choral harmonies provides the perfect way to get into that summertime spirit.”

“So please Come and join us for this event and help us raise funds for The Door whilst supporting these fantastic local choirs! There will also be a selection of soft and hot drinks during the interval – what’s not to love?”

All proceeds will go straight to helping Keep The Door Open for those that need them. Tickets are £8 (under 11’s and Carers are free) Tickets available now from The Door Shop or click/tap here to buy online
