The second and third days were spent at Stroud fire station:
Community Youthwork Coordinator for Stroud, Annie HC explains what the team got up to
‘Starting off with team building excises we got dressed into our fire fighting kit. Then we learned where to find a fire hydrant, how to unload the truck and put the fire hoses together. In the afternoon we worked on First Aid’img_9675
‘The last day started with learning about road traffic accidents then after a break we were back on the yard running drills, rescuing a baby from a fire and then running a full drill as if there was a fire.’
‘It has been an absolutely amazing three days with great firefighters and an amazing group of young people. They all got stuck in and had a go at everything. I’m one very proud youthworker!’
