Why we are fundraising:
Too many young people are vulnerable, isolated and living with mental health challenges. The Children’s Mental Health Annual Briefing 2024–25 shows that one in ten children and young people in England is referred to mental health services. Many have no trusted adult to turn to beyond their family or teachers. Without opportunities to build confidence, form positive relationships and access support, they can become isolated and find everyday life harder to manage.
What we are fundraising for:
The Door will step in to provide the much-needed professional support that many young people would otherwise be without. Our free-to-access youth clubs offer safe places to belong, build friendships and develop trusted relationships with youth workers. Funding will enable us to deliver high quality youth club sessions, support more young people in your local communities, and provide the best possible tailored support for those facing greater challenges. Above all creating hope for a brighter future.
This December we are aiming to raise £6000 towards the running this important service.
For this to succeed we need three groups to come together
- A Trust fund champion to provide £1500 in match funding
- Local businesses or individuals to pledge £1500 in match funds
- Lots of amazing donors to donate £3000 to unlock the funds from 1 and 2.
We are confident that we will receive Champion funding and individual donations but this will only be possible with support from local businesses and individuals like you.
