Run Stroud Half Marathon for The Door

The Door is delighted to be partnering with Racenation Events at this year’s Stroud Half Marathon.

As part of their ongoing partnership, the charity has been awarded a limited number of free spaces for runners wishing to fundraise for The Door. So if you want to put your best foot forward for young people and families across Stroud and the South Cotswolds, please consider signing up and getting sponsored today.

The suggested sponsorship target for each runner is £200 which will go a long way to helping keep The Door open for vulnerable young people and their families.

“Getting support  from The Door has been the best thing I have done for myself ever”

Operations Manager Anne Townsend says “Why not challenge yourself this October to take on the Stroud Half Marathon. The young people and families we support at The Door take on challenges every day – whether it’s stress, anxiety, overwhelm or uncertainty about the future – we all need to lean on someone else once in a while. By taking part in this year’s Stroud Half Marathon and getting sponsored in support of The Door you will be helping keep The Door’s services open – from youth clubs and mentoring to parent support and on the streets detached youth work. The funds you raise will make sure that young people and their families have somewhere to go when life gets tough, somewhere where they will be listened to and heard and somewhere where they can find hope.”
